All of us care about convenience and surely any of us who are breathing right now care about our health. But what do we care more about?
In New England, where Dunkin’ Donuts reigns as the king of coffee sales, it seems that many people care more about convenience. Instead of bringing their own reusable coffee cup, most DD customers opt for the more convenient to go cups. And even in 2012, these cups are made of toxic foam. Sure, the toxins leech only a very small amount, but over time, it can lead to a variety of health issues like cancer. In addition, if the cups are not disposed of properly, the toxins will leech into the soil and water. So, it’s time to ask ourselves again, what do we really care more about?
If you’d like Dunkin Donuts to change their ways, I created a petition to encourage Dunkin’ Donuts to get rid of toxic foam cups and offer a discount for people who bring a reusable cup.
