Back To The East Coast & Dunkin’ Donuts’ Waste

Alex-Dunkin-NewarkI haven’t been back to the east coast in (gulp!) almost six months. During that time in California, I haven’t seen a quarter of the amount of polystyrene foam cups littering streets and garbage cans as I do in Massachusetts and most of the east coast. This is mostly due in part to the fact that there are zero Dunkin’ Donuts in California.

Well, yesterday I came back to the east coast and one of the first things that I saw was a Dunkin’ Donuts in the Newark, NJ airport. I then noticed numerous people walking around holiding toxic foam DD disposable coffee cups in their hands. I just wish more people were aware of this problem and that Dunkin’ Donuts actually cared about the waste they create. That is why I started the petition that I did a few weeks ago and why I hope you (the reader) will sign it and encourage others to as well. Thanks!

Flattr this!
